  1. I never knew what a mimeograph was until I saw your post. Your caption really signifies the purpose of the technology in the picture. For a person who has no idea of what a mimeograph is, your caption clearly explains that it is a technology that was used as some sort of writing implement beginning in 1940. If I had just seen the photograph and there was no caption I would not know what the mimeograph was or what its purpose was either. Was the mimeograph the first form of a writing tool, other than a paper and pencil, invented?

    1. It is actually the first form of a xerox machine (copier). I figured that spreading the written word was appropriate because when you make copies you spread your copies to anyone who wants them- or to your students let's say. I found that this was appropriate for my subject because English teachers need to copy the stories their students will read, which is written word.
